Copepods are the next step on the ocean’s food chain. They spend their days eating phytoplankton, detritus and algae common to that found in our tanks. Copepods often can be seen occupying the glass at night, looking like tiny white bugs. Although they may seem numerous beyond what we expect, they are an amazing addition to any saltwater tank regardless of stock list. Copepods eat the waste our fish leave behind and can help cut down on nuisance algae. Infamous livestock picks like mandarin dragonets, wrasses and our clean up crews love eating copepods. Copepods are best added to a refugium with macro algae or to your display after lights out. The main product we feature is our copepod blend.

Dosing Instructions: Float bottle for approximately 10-15 minutes to equalize temperature and release into water column after the lights have been turned off to insure as many pods enter rockwork and sand safely.
