Nannochloropsis is a single celled algae with a diameter of 2-4 microns. It is used in the aquaculture industry for cultivation of copepods, rotifers, artemia, and other zooplankton. It is also used in reef aquariums for feeding SPS corals, clams, and other filter feeders that require small phytoplankton. It can be used to increase the concentration of zooplankton marine tanks while increasing the fatty acid (EPA & DHA) content of the zooplankton.
